During the training we pay the main attention to the principles of safe driving (see the scheme).

SEE THE WHOLE SCENE
Get the big picture. The correct use of central and peripheral vision allows all to be seen and traffic problems to be solved early.
AIM HIGH
Look well ahead – this is the key to seeing the whole scene.
EYES ON THE MOVE
Don’t be transfixed by any one car or situation. If anything is missed we leave a hole in our defences.
SAFETY CUSHION
Is the area around our vehicle. It is our territory and we must guard stringently against intruders.
EARLY DECISION
Allows all actions to be unhurried. We can be a very predictable driver with ample decision time in all situations.
BE SEEN
We must make other drivers aware of our presence – signal – tap the horn – flash the headlights – make eye contact with other drivers.
HAVE AN ESCAPE
Always have an out in any driving situation. Be prepared for the unexpected. |
